Journey to Asclepeion
Parasol, hickory and milkweed hyrdosol
New Paltz, NY
Hickory and milkweed hydrosol were made from plants on the property where participants walked the fields with misters to go on a personal scent journey. Ancient Greeks made pilgrimages to the temple of Asclepeion in search of physical and spiritual healing. As one travels with these scents, from the local terrain, the sense of smell, becomes a pathway that can carry one into time, distance, and memory.
