Scent

As a plant adapts to its environment, it becomes embedded with cellular information specific to the place where it grows.  Hydrosols are plant distillations made with water, creating to-scale blueprints of the molecular structure of the plant. These aromatic remedies are used to reawaken the senses and connect to the natural world, through the essence of that place. This body of work explores scent as a medium, using it to create a sensory and participatory experience linking a site and its community.
